We grew up hearing "You are what you eat," and this book does an excellent job of explaining just that. I have read or heard some of this before, but the author does an excellent job of compiling the information, condensing it to the most pertinent parts, and then explaining it in a way that's easy to understand and remember. Our standard diet in America is sorely lacking in nutrients, and many many people could benefit from this information! The recipes included look delicious and easy to prepare. I only wish there were more recipes!! (A sequel?!)
Great! Job Jadie Aranda for explaing so brilliantly " We Are What We Eat". As an Ayurvedic practitioner, i have noticed that diet and lifestyle are the number one cause to most health issues. Everyone should read this book over and over again and take their health into their own hands.
"Our bodies are designed to digest whole, natural foods." I appreciate Jadie's straightforward style in which she speaks in layman's terms. Easy to understand and more importantly, easy to implement, Jadie will take you from fatigued and sluggish to energized and focused.

The mantra you'll learn is "When I eat better I feel better, I think better, I live better." And she not only shows you why, but she'll teach you how.
This fun, informative read is packed with basic, science-backed strategies for getting and staying healthy. I'm a health nut, and I really enjoyed Jadie Aranda's clever, winsome style as she taught even a wellness fanatic like me some really great info. This is one of those books that I'll be picking up and referring to often. You'll be chuckling away while ingesting some of Jadie's nutritious, health tips, and hopefully putting them into practice!
Jadie presents a complex subject in a fun and easy format to read. It is an eye-opening book, and informative that I am thrilled to have bought. On a personal level, I found the chapter on Immune response of particular interest. Making the right food choices is a Must for a high energy through a healthy digestive and immune system. I highly recommend especially for those with autoimmune disease.
This book beautifully sums up what holistic practitioners know and that is to treat food as thy medicine and medicine as thy food (Hippocrates famous quote). We don't need pills to boost our energy, we just need better fuel (food) from the start. Food is powerful, it can boost our energy or zap it. It can add to our immune system or cause it to go into attack mode. This is a great book that shows us how to fix our diets -- and it is easily digestible too!
I really enjoyed this book. Jadie is right on about processed foods, sugar, inflammation, our immune system and everything that ties together. Too many of us are eating the wrong kinds of food that simply drain us - and we aren't sure why we are so tired. Following the information (and even a few recipes), UNDERSTANDING what you put in your body will go a long way to improving your energy... and this means you can do more of what you want to accomplish. That is the end reward. Excellent book!
